“Wines of Crete” hosted fam trips on the Cretan wine to international wine professionals and journalists. The guests of “Wines of Crete”, visited vineyards and tasted P.G.I. wines from Chania, Rethymno, Sitia P.D.O. area Peza and P.D.O. area Dafnes in Heraklion. There was blind winetasting on the indigenous varieties of Crete, so the guests could get to know the other side of Crete, the wine-gastronomical side. There was also a vineyard tour all over the island, from Western to the Eastern Crete. There was a particular interest on the monovarietal wines that highlighted especially the characteristics of the Cretan terroir.

The first guest was Kelly White, one of the top sommeliers according to Food & Wine Magazine and members of the Guild of Sommeliers. Mrs White visited wineries all over Greece she requested to visit the island and to taste the indigenous varieties of Crete.

Japan journalists, also visited Crete, due to a mission organized by Wines of Crete, with the important aid of the Region of Crete and in collaboration with Enterprise Greece.
