The answer is complex, but absolutely reasonable. Just look the Cretan landscape, the Cretan Cuisine and Cretan tradition. All these unique, in every aspect. How could it be different for the grapes? Being unique is common in Crete. As unique is the winetourism experience in Crete!<\/p>\n<p><strong>15,16 February &#8211; OINOKRITIKA 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the 7th year, the Winemakers of Crete organized \u201cOINOKRITIKA\u201d. 30 Wineries from all over the island, participated at the Cretan wine exhibition in Chania. Many visitors and professionals visited to taste the wines of the Cretan vineyard and participated at the many activities that were organized through the days (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.746601185364635.1073741833.301108403247251&amp;type=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Photos<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>24,25&amp;26 February 2014- \u201cVinisud Montpellier\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the first time, a Greek Region participated at the most important Mediteranean Wine Fair, \u201cVinisud Montpellier\u201d. \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/www.winesofcrete.gr\/cretewines\/el\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wines of Crete<\/a>\u00bb, organized a special wine master class presenting the Cretan Vineyard and micro classes, during the exhibition at the kiosk of \u201cWines of Crete\u201d. At the\u201dVinisud\u201d \u2018s wine tasting area (Palais Mediteraneen), an area where only wine professionals and reporters have access, 21 labels of the Cretan Vineyard were presented and tasted. The first visit was extremely successful and the cretan wines proved once more, that Crete is more than an island. You can see photos of \u201cWines of Crete\u201d participation in VINISUD <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.753228484701905.1073741835.301108403247251&amp;type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>ITB BERLIN 5-9 March 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winesofcrete.gr\/cretewines\/el\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00abWines of Crete\u00bb<\/a> in cooperation with the Region of Crete were in ITB Berlin to show the oenotouristic side of the island through detailed presentations and wine tastings of course!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u039f\u0399\u039d\u039f\u03a4\u0399\u039a\u0391 2014 , 15-17 March 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over 2.500 winelovers and professionals visited the exhibition of the Cretan Vineyard \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.768906879800732.1073741837.301108403247251&amp;type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u039f\u0399\u039d\u039f\u03a4\u0399\u039a\u0391 2014<\/a>\u00bb, organized from the Winemakers of Crete for the 6th year, at \u201cKipos ton Aisthisewn\u201d, in Malades, Heraklion.<\/p>\n<p>This year exhibition included:<\/p>\n<p>1) A grouped presentation of the rose wines in separate wine bar<\/p>\n<p>2) An organized Cretan wine shop.<\/p>\n<p>3) Wine Seminar \u201cAdvices of getting to know your wine\u201d, by Simos Georgopoulos. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.770111146346972.1073741840.301108403247251&amp;type=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Photos<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>4) Cooking Show \u201cFrom Konstantinoupolis (Instabul) to Crete\u201d, with Maria Ekmekcioglou, presenter of the cooking show \u201cApo tin Poli erxomai\u201d in cooperation with Cretan Food News, presenting Crete\u2019s and Instabul\u2019 s recipes.
